Body Transformation: Rain (Bi) and the Ninja Assassin Workout
If you’ve seen Ninja Assassin, or even talked about it with a friend, chances are you’ve heard about Rain’s amazing body transformation. And now that you’re primed and motivated to become a ninja yourself, let’s see how Rain went from an average popstar to a ridiculously shredded assassin.
The Assassin’s Workout
For the movie, Rain’s workout allowed him to go from 12% bodyfat to 5%. Here’s what he did:
- Kettlebell workouts
- Sword fighting and stunt work (6 hours of cardio)
- Weights (2 hours a day, 5 days a week)
Ninja Diet
Now that you know the amount of work you have to put in, you’re ready for the harder part: the diet. That’s right. As any trainer worth their weight (haha) will tell you, a proper diet is 80% of the battle when you’re trying to transform your body. Rain gave up rice and ate the following for 8 months:
- Skinless chicken breat and vegetables
- Potatoes
- Raw fish
- Salad
He was also allowed to have a plain beef steak cooked in boiling water about once a month. Now that’s dedication!

- Eat clean
- Work out religiously
- Rinse and repeat for 8 months

If you notice, he didn’t gain much mass in that 8 months. He lost fat. That’s the primary reason for his more muscular look in Ninja Assassin. Still looked kinda thin in NA in my opinion

I love Rain. Hes a great actor and his songs are amazing! When this movie was first announced on T.V. I was soooo happy. Once i saw it i was speechless. He is some yummy eye candy.

I just watch Ninja Assassin for the fifth time in a row and I’m just amazing how awesome Rain is in the movie. I can’t wait until the sequel comes out and hopeful he gets more attention in the US. Plus I just watch old episode of the Colbert Report where Steve challenge Rain to a dance-off and Rain was amazing. He is someone I definitely will keep my eyes and ears out for. Yo, Rain if your reading this, never it will never happen.

Bi (Rain) is absolutely adorable. I saw him in Full House before I watched Ninja Assassins, and I was like, “Woah. I know him.” Needless to say, I was thrilled. Is he the next Jackie Chan?
I love in the movie, when he was like “Miki, Miki. I like you more and more.” So cute. His body is impressive, and his face is too, though I find asians attractive in general. Seeing him in an American movie made me love him even more. & His English is so good.
